The Villages Early Childhood Center ("ECC") and The Villages Little Buffalo Learning Center ("LBLC") are owned and operated by The Villages Early Learning Company, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("VELC"). ECC and LBLC are not operated by The Villages Charter School, Inc. (TVCS), however, in an effort to provide continuity and seamless integration for students who advance to The Villages® Charter School, TVCS provides certain administrative services under contract with VELC.
Previously the Yearbook Club, the newly-formed Press Club involves all aspects of media found here at The Villages Charter High School. Press Club is open to all grade levels, and it gives members the opportunity to become involved in media, whether for recreation or to establish a footprint in the industry. The first year of our club promises growth and exciting experiences for anyone that wishes to join.
On the print side, members will have the opportunity to:
Work on the school yearbook
Work on the new school newspaper
On the broadcast side, members will have the opportunity to:
Produce videos and news segments
Work with the TV Production Academy to run the new scoreboard at the football stadium
The club promises the opportunity to receive many volunteer hours through the attendance of out-of-school events such as sports games. Meetings will take place Tuesday afternoons directly after school and Thursday mornings at 7:15 in Mrs. Licciardello's room (207) in order to ensure all members have the opportunity to attend at least one meeting per week. All contact and miscellaneous information can be found below.
