MIDDLE SCHOOL

Mrs. Brittany Burchill « Teacher Connection / Documents / Calendar

It was nice meeting you at Student Orientation. Let's make it a great year together!

Our first quarter Identity Unit that is centered around the essential question: What makes you YOU? We will read a variety of texts in order to answer this question, including the novel HATCHET, by Gary Paulsen.. Students will work on an “Identity” Project throughout the quarter as they research and reflect on who they are.

Standards Based Assessment (SBA) info

Students will be completing these short assessments at least 6 times each quarter in order to check their mastery of specific ELA standards. You will be able to see the results in Skyward. Our proficiency goal for these assessments is only a 60%; any score higher than that shows that they truly have mastered that skill!

Weekly iReady requirement

Students must complete 1 iReady Reading lesson on their path each week (due by Friday evening).

Weekly Assignments:

These are emailed weekly and are posted in Google Classroom.

Please reach out via email with any questions or concerns!
