VHS Fall "Buffalo Market" Saturday!

We are hosting our next Buffalo Market in the VHS Courtyard on November 9th from 9 am-2 pm! We have experienced amazing community support at both of our events, and look forward to even more families and friends joining in the fun this show. We will have over 60 arts and crafts vendors that will include VHS students, VCS employees, local businesses, and more. We will also have the Buffalo Grill (featuring our Culinary Academy), a holiday photo booth, limited tours of the VHS campus, food trucks, lawn games, live student performances, and more!

Buffalo Adventures Fall Camp Registration Now Available

Registration for Buffalo Adventures Fall Camp is now open and will close on Nov. 8th. Registration and camp details can be found on our activity app  Jumbula.  Please visit the website or contact Buffalo Adventures at 352-259-6818 for additional assistance. 

VCS Earns School of Excellence Designation!

The Villages Charter School has again earned a School of Excellence designation for the 2023-2024 school year based upon academic data from the past three school years. The Florida State Board of Education announced the list of schools at their most recent Florida Board of Education meeting. See the announcement below.  

November Buffalo HERD Parent Meeting

The VCS parent organization (Buffalo HERD) will host attorney Lori Smith on Monday, November 11th @ 6:00 pm @ The Villages Charter School 4th & 5th Grade Center Gym. In this 'adult only' meeting, Ms. Smith will give VCS "The Parents' Playbook" (a multi-media presentation to help parents understand today's "Digital Natives"). See the flyer below for details. 

Buffalo HERD Basket Auction Coming Soon!

The VCS parent organization (Buffalo HERD) will hold their annual "Basket Auction" fundraiser on Saturday, November 16th. Click here to purchase tickets. See the flyer below for details. 

Buffalo Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament RESCHEDULED For 12/14/24

The Buffalo Scholarship Foundation annual golf tournament has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024. All aspects of the event will remain as planned. Continue the Central Office (352-259-2350) with any questions.

The Florida Department of Education has released the 2023-2024 school grades for all schools and The Villages Charter School has again earned an A rating!

Congrats to all students, teachers, administrators, staff, & parents for this achievement.

For the past 18 years, VCS has received a “K-12 grade” (all “A’s”)—also,

The Villages High School has now earned 18 straight A’s (2006 – 2024*)

The Villages Charter Middle School has now earned 21 straight A’s (2003 - 2024*)

The Villages Charter Elementary School has now earned 21 straight A’s (2003 - 2024*)

* The Florida Department of Education did not issue grades for the 2020 school year due to COVID-19.

VHS Moves Graduation Date

The Villages High School has moved the graduation date for the Class of 2025 from the traditional Saturday morning outside to Friday, May 23rd @ 7:00 pm inside the Buffalo Sports Complex. See the updated 24-25 VCS Calendar below. Additional details to follow in the upcoming months.
